Kenneth Fuller
Kenneth Fuller is an American gospel vocalist, baritone/tenor singer, songwriter, arranger, producer, publisher, broadcaster, pastor, and media entrepreneur. His musical career spans more than five decades and includes gospel recording, choir performance, songwriting, music publishing, broadcasting, and contemporary soul recording.
Fuller is known for his early gospel recordings with The Milton Boren Jubileers, his production and performance work on the 1981 Gorman Memorial Choir album Jesus Is Lord, his decades of ministry and public performance, and his later work as the recording artist Kenny J, founder of Spirit & Soul Radio, and founder of SpiritSoul Media Publishing Group.
Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Kenneth Fuller began his musical career as a teenager singing with The Milton Boren Jubileers, a traditional Black Gospel a cappella group.
During the early 1970s, Fuller participated in the recording of two gospel albums with the group. Although the album titles are currently unknown, these recordings represent his earliest known commercial credits.
Recording Career
In 1981, Fuller produced and performed on Jesus Is Lord, a live gospel recording by the Gorman Memorial Choir. The project documented his work as a producer, songwriter, and lead vocalist.
